We partnered with Nike to expand its “+” empire by issuing both cross-training and basketball shoes equipped with the company’s digital technology. This lets non-runners taste the thrill of tracking athletic accomplishments, sharing them with friends, and virtually competing with others in the Nike+ ecosystem.
The shoes feature a series of sensors embedded throughout, and a small rechargeable dongle that gets inserted in the sole under your foot will wirelessly transfer your stats via Bluetooth to your iPhone. Nike+ tracks your moves, shares your stats and improves your performance so every day becomes another opportunity to find greatness.
Led, managed and won initial pitch to Nike. Staffed a creative team spanning UX, Visual Design, User Research, Motion Design & Creative Technology. Set strategy, product/service design approach and prototype development from concept to final execution including launch activation.
